The minor football 5x5 championship of the Lithuanian children, born in 2007, which lasted for almost half a year, has finished in Kaunas Sports Hall. Klaipėda FM2-FC Atlantas, Vilnius FA Geležinis Vilkas-2, Jonava KKSC and Panevėžys FA-FC Panevėžys fought for the champion’s name in the legendary hall.
In the semi-finals, the young players of Klaipėda won 6:1 and such result did not leave any hope for the representatives of Vilnius, and in another pair of the semi-finals, the players of Panevėžys beated the young representatives of Jonava with the result of 14:2.
There was no intrigue in the minor final as well: Vilnius FA Geležinis Vilkas-2defeated the Jonava KKSC with the result of 15:1 and enjoyed bronze medals.
In the finals, the players of Klaipėda allowed the opponents from Panevėžys to have only one goal and responded with their two goals. Therefore, the final siren certified the victory of the representatives of the seaport town with the result 2:1.
The trainees of Romualdas Norkus and Remigijus Alonderis not only showed themselves perfectly well in the final stage, but also played over 16 matches and won them in the championship which lasted for 5 months.
Klaipėda FM2-FC Atlantas, which became the champion, not only lifted their gold medals and the winner cup, but also, two players of Klaipėda received personal prises together with the medals: Evaldas Sekrsis – the best gate-keeper of the tournament and Vilius Paulauskas – the best forward of the tournament.
